The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is low, long, sturdy yet balanced! Originating in Pembrokeshire, Wales as early as 1107 A.D. The exact origin is unknown, but it is thought that the Celts, Flemish, or Vikings introduced the breed to Wales. Historically, fines were issued to anyone who attempted to steal or harm a corgi.
The Welsh Corgi was first brought to America in the 1930's by American breeder Mrs. Lewis Roesler of Massachusetts.

Backpacks are not recommended for corgis as to prevent back injuries.
